The proper back pain management is something everyone with back pain should take seriously. Do not get so caught up with your job or problems you may be experiencing around home to forget to take care of yourself. This is easy to do, but since you are reading this, you have taken at least the first step.
Lower back pain management will start with you taking the time to get the right amount of exercise. Stop putting it off and start today. One of the easiest is to walk instead of using your car to go to the convenience store. It will take more time but when you are back, you will experience a feeling of better self worth and your body will feel better. The increased blood flow will be beneficial to every part of your body. If you own a dog and have the children take him for a walk, join them. This will not only help improve you health but increase the time you spend with your loved ones. This bond is crucial to your overall better life style.
If at this time your back does hurt, use an ice pack to reduce the swelling instead of a pain reliever. Pain relievers take the pain away but some of the side effects are not good for you. Tylenol has been proven to damage your liver if taken too often.
An occasional visit to your local acupuncturist is a good remedy to have in your back pain management arsenal. This has proven to not only be effective against lower and upper back pain but also in the reduction of stress. If you have an increased stress level, you may notice your back pain has also increased. This is a cascading effect because with those two problems most people are also irritable. Reduce your stress level and it will be easy to you to manage your back pain.
One of the simplest and easiest ways to help with back pain management is when you sleep. If you lay on your side, your spine is not at the proper angle to relax. This will cause your back muscles to be continuously working while you are sleeping. If you wake up with a stiff and or aching back, then I have a remedy for you. The cost is extremely high but it will be worth it. Place a pillow between your knees. This high tech device will cost you probably one dollar. But when you wake up without any pain, it will be the best dollar you have ever spent. The reason this works is because of the angles that your legs lay. They are attached to your hips and this is where the spinal column is anchored. By having the right distance between your knees will reduce the pressure on your back all night long. It might take some getting used to but it will be well worth it each and every morning.
The best back pain management is low tech and low cost.
